What is DC charging pile?
DC charging pile is a power supply device that is fixed outside the electric vehicle and connected to the AC power grid to provide DC power to the non-vehicle electric vehicle power battery. The input voltage of DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire AC 380V±15%, frequency 50Hz, and the output is adjustable DC power, which can directly charge the power battery of electric vehicle. Since the DC charging pile adopts three-phase four-wire power supply system, it can provide sufficient power, and the output voltage and current can be adjusted in a wide range to achieve the requirement of fast charging.
AC charging piles provide power input to the charger of electric vehicles, which is not good for fast charging because the general on-board charger is not very powerful. However, we can use DC charging piles to achieve fast charging.
The difference between DC fast charging pile and AC charging box:
1.In charging time,it takes 7-10 hours to fully charge an AC charger and only 1-2 hours to fully charge a DC charger.
2.For AC charging box, first of all, AC charging boxes are low cost, construction is also relatively simple, the load on the transformer is not very large, the community's distribution cabinet can go directly to the power installation.
The maximum charging power of AC charging pile is 7KW. As long as it is an electric car, it generally supports AC charging. There are two charging ports for electric cars, one is fast charging interface and the other is slow charging interface. There is a part of non-national standard electric car charging interface may only use AC, can not use DC charging post.
For DC charging pile, DC charging pile is to convert 380V power supply into high current DC charging voltage through transformer, the charging current can reach up to 32A, the charging power can reach 45kW, generally the electric car charging can be full in one to two hours, and it will not take too long.
