What is an EV Charger?
EV Charger is equipment that connects an electric vehicle (EV) to a source of electricity to recharge electric cars, neighborhood electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.
For example, the battery capacity of an electric car is 60kWh.
If the car can only be charged with a maximum power of 60kW, it can be charged at the maximum speed if it is charged on an EV charger with a power of 60kW or more. Once the charging power that electric vehicle can withstand is exceeded, the charging power of the high-power EV charger to the electric vehicle is 60kW. This is controlled by the battery management system (BMS) inside the electric vehicle. When the power of the EV charger ≥ the electric vehicle, the charging speed is the fastest; when the power of the EV charger <the electric vehicle, the higher the power of the EV charger, the faster the charging speed.
