What is Type 2 AC charger?
According to the installation method, it can be divided into floor-standing ev charging stations and wall-mounted ev charging stations. Floor-standing ev charging stations are suitable for installation in parking spaces that are not close to the wall. The wall-mounted charging pile is suitable for installation in a parking space close to the wall. According to the installation location, it can be divided into public charging piles and special charging piles. The public charging pile is a charging pile built in a public parking lot (library) combined with parking berths to provide public charging services for social vehicles. The special charging pile is a charging pile used by the construction unit (enterprise) own parking lot (library) for the internal personnel of the unit (enterprise). The self-use charging pile is built in a personal own parking space (library) to provide charging stations for private users. The charging pile is generally constructed in conjunction with the parking space of the parking lot (library). The charging post installed outdoors should not be less than IP54. The charging pile installed indoors should not be less than IP32. According to the number of charging interfaces, it can be divided into one charge and one charge. According to the charging method, the charging piles (plugs) can be divided into DC charging piles (plugs), AC charging piles (plugs) and AC/DC integrated charging piles (plugs).
A Type 2 AC charger on a single-phase electricity supply at home allows you to charge your car at a maximum of 7.36 kW. The formula is: 230 volts x 32 amps = 7,360 Watts, or 7.36 kW. On a 3-phase electricity supply – the kind you might find at work – Type 2 charging points can charge at 22 kW.
22kW AC Charger Features:
It provides AC Level 2 Charging that effectively shortens charging time for typical electric vehicles (EVs) when compared to the Level 2 Cordset. And most important, it is OCPP compatible with OCPP 1.6.
Electric Car Charger Applications:
Residential
Private and public parking facilities
Shopping malls and retailers
Workplace
