On May 12, a seminar on transportation energy transformation industry hosted by Sinopec was held in Beijing. During the seminar, Mr. Zhang Yuzhuo, Chairman of Sinopec, said that Sinopec will help green transportation, gradually build "oil, gas, hydrogen, electricity and service" integrated refueling stations, and strive to embrace the energy revolution to nurture the first opportunity, open a new situation, and achieve high-quality development.
According to the plan, by 2025, Sinopec plans to take advantage of the original layout of 30,000 gas stations and 870 filling stations to build 1,000 hydrogen refuelling stations or combined oil and hydrogen stations, 5,000 charging and exchange stations and 7,000 distributed photovoltaic power stations to provide comprehensive energy for the public, and take the consumer terminal as a breakthrough to drive the energy transformation of the industrial chain.
Zhang Yuzhuo stressed that Sinopec will build a world-leading clean energy and chemical company as its visionary goal, and accelerate the construction of "one base, two wings and three new" industrial pattern with energy resources as the foundation, clean oil products and modern chemicals as two wings, and new energy, new materials and new economy as important growth poles. In addition to consolidating its advantages in the sale of traditional oil products, the company has also set itself the goal of becoming "China's No. 1 hydrogen company", accelerating the layout of its charging and switching business, and firmly transforming itself into a comprehensive energy service provider of "oil, gas, hydrogen and electricity services". In recent years, Sinopec has accelerated its energy transformation and industrial upgrading, and has made positive progress in many fields. In the construction of the whole hydrogen energy industry chain, 20 hydrogen refuelling stations have been completed and put into operation in 13 provinces and cities, including Guangdong, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangxi and Guizhou. In the charging and switching business, the company has signed strategic cooperation agreements with a number of new energy enterprises, and 496 switching stations have been put into operation. In terms of the layout and construction of photovoltaic power stations, 160 photovoltaic power stations have been laid out and constructed in Hainan, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan.
