According to the introduction, the V3 Supercharger is Tesla's most advanced charging pile equipment at present, with a new architecture of supercharging method and the latest liquid-cooled wires, which are lighter, more flexible and more efficient in heat dissipation, making it convenient for users to carry out charging operations.
The V3 Supercharger can support up to 250kW peak charging power, and some Model 3 models can replenish up to 250km of range in 15 minutes of charging, meeting users' needs for a day's daily driving.
Data shows that Tesla currently has more than 25,000 Superchargers worldwide.
Among them, the open Supercharger stations in China have exceeded 800 stations, more than 6,300 Supercharger piles, paired with more than 700 destination charging stations and 1,700+ destination charging piles, fully covering more than 310 cities in China.
In addition, in August 2020, Tesla's Shanghai Supercharger plant was officially set up and completed and put into operation in February 2021, with an initial planned annual production capacity of up to 10,000 units.
Previously, Tesla's Superchargers were imported from the United States.
It is worth noting that Tao Lin, Tesla's vice president of external affairs, has said that as early as 2013, Tesla has tried to switch electricity, and the switch mode is currently a good mode of replenishment in some specific areas such as taxis or buses, but Tesla has always believed that the charging mode is the best way to replenish energy for large-scale civilian electric vehicles.
